Aim:

Develop with research units and private partners new devices to increase the data collected in experimentation, facilitate the work of animal technicians, limit ultimately the number of experiments and the consumption of animals. This WP is in the field of precision livestock farming, with new imaging techniques and predictive biology.

Tasks:

• T4.1 Prospect and develop partnership in the field of precision livestock farming etc. Establishment of collaborations with start-ups and academic laboratories.
• T4.2 Evaluate and optimize new technologies (telemetry, real-time measurements / assays, etc.) to adapt them to the constraints of performing infectiology studies in a confined environment.
• T4.3 Create infectious agents with reporter genes, transgenic animals ..., to promote non-invasive analysis of infectious processes (in collaboration with research Unit).
• T4.4 Identify and validate biomarkers predictive of the onset of disease symptoms to reduce the duration of experiments and preserve animal welfare as much as possible (in collaboration with research Unit/ private partners).
